I
grew up with Avalon - well almost. On TV - but as a Miami ocean boy
that started scuba, kayaking and sailing from the age of eight - there
was something magical about seeing Catalina on TV - the hills, the
beach bonfires, the giant gold fish!
It was a long, long time before I
finally had a chance to set foot on the enclave of Avalon - and to
my surprise - it was just a hop, skip and a scenic ride to the most
pristine areas of the island - where the buffalo roam - BUFFALO!
So as much as I would love to ramble on about my Catalina adventures
-it will have to wait as - I am on my way back to Catalina to work
on this guide! So stay tuned.
